The Peace of God

And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.                                                                                Phil. 4.7

When I surrender all my cares, trials and sins to God I am opening myself up to receive His peace. He leads me, He helps me, and He forgives me. His peace flows in abundance into me. I am safe. I am protected. I am loved.

As I receive the peace of God I come into that place of the fullness of peace with Him. I rest in Him in absolute trust and dependence. This, I truly believe, is what He wants. He wants me to look to Him, and only Him. He alone will provide the protection and help that I need. He will bring other resources into play as He commands. I simply rest in His peace.

The peace of God removes all stress and anxiety within me. I embrace a deep inner serenity, a tranquillity that can only come from Him.

For me, there is no greater experience of God’s love than knowing His peace. In peace I am one with Him. The issues that test and trouble me in this earthly realm are transitory. They so quickly pass away. But God’s peace is eternal. There is no end to it. It stretches out endlessly before me, while it is present, here and now, for me to appropriate and embrace. It enables me to live in the most wonderful place. How blessed I am!

Loving God,
I receive Your peace. I open myself for Your peace to fill me to the depth of my being. I give my heart and my mind to You, to be guarded by Your peace.
I join with You in peace. Let concerns not overwhelm me, but let me turn always to You, for that incomprehensible peace that gives life.            Amen.
